the idea was to change other people's presets, the way i would have done them. the result are slightl variations on the one hand, and some almost unchanged, but optimized presets.
the pack was previously released on visbot.net and winamp.com, so take this limited edition as a deviantart exclusive. besides the reworks, it includes the original versions of each preset. i decided to release this edition, as i started making presets almost exactly 4 years ago (end of september 2000). however, the limited edition is only available until end of this month.
naturally the credit goes to the original authors of these presets, my job isn't worth the mentioning. my upcoming pack is still in the making, reaching a creation period of a almost year (and only 65% completed). release-date uncertain.
watchie, watchie back attchya. Nice idea, if a little odd.
I've tried to do packs like this in the past, but I allows take it too far and they turn in to proper remixs.
First I can't really see what you've done to the nemoorange presets... but what do I know.
'the surreal' is a great reworking -looks abit like the cool colours I get just before the blinding pain of a migraine, 'spiritual' another good mix, I like the square effect with the grain, adds some cool angular effects to the drift. 'sail away' didn't like it at first, but it's definitly grown on me, got a nice movement to it.
Its an interesting idea, but I prefered the original in most cases. I think if you did the same thing with more technical presets, and changed / modified them to be super stylish, it would be better.

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
